General Kramer Vineyard FAQ's

How long have you been around?

We purchased the vineyard property in 1984 and opened our tasting room in 1990.

Who owns this winery?

Trudy and Keith Kramer are the founders and owners of Kramer Vineyards.

How did you become winemakers?

The Kramers started making wine in the 1970s as a hobby. They decided to join the industry in the early 1980s after a revelatory tasting of Red Burgundies and realizing that Pinot Noir was successfully being grown in Oregon.

Do you give tours?

Yes. We give winery tours and vineyard walks. However, this is a highly seasonal activity.  Vineyard walks are generally more interesting in the late summer, while winery tours during harvest can be educational and interactive. Contact us to make arrangements for your tour group.

What a gorgeous setting!  Can we picnic outside?  What if it rains?

We have a deck and outdoor seating for you to enjoy a picnic. In the case of rain, there are a couple of tables on the patio. However, we can set up a table for you indoors. For groups larger than ten please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements.

Who are the dogs?  Are they related?

We have one black Labrador, named Kosmo.  He enjoys lounging in the tasting room and digging holes. The pug is Brody, who assists with harvest and seat warming.

Can I bring my dog to your winery?

Dogs are welcome here so long as you keep them leashed and outdoors. This ensures that all our guests enjoy their visit.
